Routine office calls may be redirected through the neighbouring exchange. The operator will identify the receiving desk before transferring a caller. Household call appointments already booked at the public terminals remain valid.

Departments must confirm an accountable receiving office for every retained number. Extensions with no current office assignment will be held in the directory review queue. Staff must not substitute a familiar name for an unverified departmental reference.
