Home workbenches can share a registered collection point.
Household repairers may nominate a shared counter for finished work, reducing customer visits through residential stairs.
Repairers using the scheme must identify the person responsible for each item and give the customer a collection receipt. The counter will accept finished work during its published opening hours. It will not accept fuelled equipment, loose batteries requiring controlled storage or items with an unresolved ownership enquiry.
A shared counter does not make its attendants responsible for the quality of another repairer's work. Complaints remain attached to the original job sheet. Households must retain a clear route through the stairs even when customers have agreed to collect an item directly.
