The market ramp separates handcart and bicycle collection times.
A four-week trial will stagger collections at the lower market ramp while preserving pedestrian access to the adjoining shops.
From 1 to 28 July 2139, handcarts will use the first collection interval and bicycle couriers the following interval. Vendors will mark the dispatch shelf when a consignment is ready. Couriers are asked to wait beside the loading recess rather than across the shop doors.
The ramp remains a shared local route outside the marked collection intervals. No change is being made to the main road's access rules. Market attendants will record missed collections and pedestrian complaints during the trial before recommending whether to retain the arrangement.
