Meal credits will remain with the worker after a shift transfer.
Unused meal allocations can be transferred between the sector's registered canteens when an employer changes a worker's duty location.
For transfers taking effect from 15 March 2137, the issuing canteen will record the unused allocation on the handover slip. The receiving canteen must acknowledge the entry before the original account is closed. Workers should retain the slip until both entries appear on their statement.
The arrangement covers a change of local duty point, including temporary maintenance assignments. It does not require a worker to purchase the same meals again while the counters reconcile the account. Household meals paid for separately remain with the household account and must not be deducted from a departing worker's allocation.
