Training places will be counted against available supervisors.
Workshops must identify who will supervise each incoming group before requesting another intake of trainees.
The learning office will review the proposed supervisor's other duties. Instruction cannot be assigned to someone covering an incompatible maintenance round. A workshop without supervision may request teaching support or a later start.
Some workshops have more applicants than they can safely train, even while qualified posts remain vacant. Departments should describe this as a training-capacity gap rather than a lack of willing entrants. Intake notices must distinguish an application received from a training place confirmed.
