Small repair parcels receive a separate transfer shelf.
Parts travelling between sector workshops will be held apart from household packages so that repairs can be traced without opening personal consignments.
The local freight room will introduce the shelf from 2 June 2134. A repair parcel must show the sending workshop, receiving workshop and equipment reference. The receiving repairer may record an alternative compatible part on the same job sheet, provided the original order remains attached.
The room cannot guarantee that a parcel arriving during a main-corridor transfer will reach a bench before the next local collection. Workshops should quote the confirmed collection rather than the arrival of the freight movement when promising completion. Household packages retain their existing counter and sealed-handling procedure.
