Shared kitchens will receive their own water readings.
Separate readings will distinguish communal kitchen use from adjoining residential meters during the September billing cycle.
Meter teams will visit the registered shared kitchens between 2 and 12 September 2106. A kitchen representative should remain present while the opening reading is recorded. Cooking and washing may continue except during the short isolation period shown on the visit slip.
The change follows discrepancies between household statements and the kitchens' delivery books. Until the first separate statement is issued, the previous allocation remains provisional. Residents should retain both statements if a kitchen charge also appears on their household account. A disputed entry will be reviewed against the readings rather than divided automatically among adjoining rooms.
