Lift maintenance opens an assistant route for new entrants.
Assistants are needed for stores preparation, access notices and supervised checks while qualified technicians retain release decisions.
The intake will join established maintenance teams. Initial duties include preparing parts lists, keeping public access notices current and recording components returned to stores. Instruction is required before entering controlled landings or handling test equipment.
The programme offers further assessment, not immediate technician status. Workshop, stores or building-services experience may be relevant. Paid hours and the training timetable will be stated before an assignment is accepted; additional duties must appear on the appointment sheet.
