Personnel enquiries gain a regular interpretation session.
Applicants may reserve interpretation when they cannot confidently describe previous work in the counter's working language.
From 23 July 2084, the interpreter will record the occupation described by the applicant rather than substitute a familiar job title. Uncertain technical terms will be referred to the receiving department. Applicants should bring work records they already hold.
The service prevents relevant experience being lost at the first counter. It does not replace practical assessment. Applicants need not purchase a new translation before the desk has identified which records matter to the proposed assignment.
