Continuous rota / Technical appointment
Maintain switchgear, transformers, protection panels and station batteries supplying the junction’s port, airport and corridor interfaces. Prepare defects for engineering review and shift handover.
Substation maintenance qualification; competence with switchgear inspection, battery systems, protection testing and technical records. High-voltage switching authorization is assessed separately.
Appointment as a maintenance electrician does not by itself confer switching authority. Restricted airport and military supplies remain outside the role unless specifically listed on the access schedule.
